There are times when the loneliness of depression, the fear of anxiey or the hopelessness of grief lead us to believe that change is not possible. I believe change is possible. Whether you are experiencing difficulty at work, school, or in your relationships, I will assist you in developing healthy coping skills that will improve your mood and quality of life. Everyone can change if they are given the necessary tools and support.
My style is warm, straightforward and humorous. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field with adults, adolescents, and couples. I believe it is important to look at an individual's perceptions and patterns of behaviors to ensure successful long term change rather than a "band-aid" fix.
If a medication evaluation or psychological testing is necessary, I can make referrals to Psychiatrists or Psychologists within the community. If appropriate, I will also collaborate with other professionals or agencies you are working with (i.e. medical doctors, case managers, school counselors) to assist in your treatment.
